With an atomic structure stronger than steel, carbon fibre is normally used to reinforce components in missiles, jet engines and the world’s fastest cars. But carbon fibre can also be engineered to enhance the strength and elasticity of clothing. So we’ve taken carbon fibre out of the world of aerospace and military engineering and used it to build the Carbon Fibre Jacket.

We start by engineering carbon fibre filaments into spirals, before wrapping them around an elastane core. Together they work like high-strength springs, expanding and compressing as the jacket stretches and moves. It creates a jacket that’s both strong and extraordinarily elastic. Woven into a grid structure, the carbon fibre acts as a ripstop that adds tensile strength and abrasion resistance to a jacket that’s already highly elastic, lightweight and water repellent. And its minimalist track jacket shape makes it versatile in any season.
